Carpet Python, recycled timber, paint

Site 2: The Old Hospital Facade, Church Street

> Free Artist Talk 2pm Monday 11 March

Artist Statement:

Explores the relationship between urban development and our unique natural environment. Crafted from recycled timber, the serpent like shape challenges the urban/native aesthetic, resultant of colonisation and development. Known to all Australians, the carpet python lurks in our yards, sheds and rafters, constantly adapting and showing the resilience typical of our unique animal species.
