What to do between sessions (5-8pm)?

Have dinner?

Beechworth is home to some amazing food experiences, from the incredible two-hat restaurant Provenance (Site 8), to local favourite potato cakes at The Ageing Frog Fish Bar (both in Camp Street), there are options for all budgets. The long weekend is busy in Beechworth, so it’s well worth booking ahead for seats in popular spots like Bridge Road Brewers (Beer, Pizza & more!), or for a great pub meal at Tanswells Commercial Hotel (Site 5), The Hotel Nicholas (Sites 12 & 13) or The Empire Hotel.

More info on other options for dining out can be found on the Explore Beechworth website >>

Go for a swim?

It’s going to be a hot weekend, so maybe you’d prefer to pack a BBQ dinner, or pick up some takeaway for a picnic, and head to Lake Sambell (Site 14) for a swim? There are multiple spots to swim along the lake frontage on McConville Avenue, as well as playgrounds for kids, and walking trails around the lake.
